When indie band The Decemberists released their album I’ll Be Your Girl in 2018, I was particularly taken by their track ‘Rusalka, Rusalka/Wild Rushes’, and made this illustration envisioning the watery temptress from the song. She’s only appealing above water- below, she’s revealed to be nothing but hungry bones.
